“If you think of photographs differently from the past by eliminating perspective and traditional relationships and diversify the present point of view, looking at the world will become a little bit more interesting.”

-David Hockney-

I painted my paintings of nature in my own way, with
It can be different for everyone, but to me, nature is a place of healing and rest.
There is an energy that can revive people in a passing breeze, and a hidden message of hope in a tree or handful of grass.
That energy is fresh, vibrant and lively. That vitality and patience always amaze me.
I have generally pursued paintings with the theme of nature because I believe that there is an energy we cannot see in nature.
If I apply the words of David Hockney, above, to my case, it means that if my paintings eliminate traditional relationships and diversify the present point of view, it would make looking at the world more interesting.
Most of my paintings ignore perspective and efforts are made to express abstractly to a certain extent.
Colours and brush strokes that can appear impressive, and with my own artistic energy.

The most Artwork is  indirectly affected by a neo-expressionist  way of thinking but applies abstract expressionist methods

Therefore, My modern artworks continue to develop on neo-expressionist style and pursue the unpredictable painting style of Gerhard Richter also Cy Twombly, Glenn Brown, David Hockney and Louise Bourgeois.

My paintings are still based on photography. The photography is not specialised in a particular field, but I would like to emphasise that it is an important part that plays a connecting role to express images and emotions that are good to me through paintings. I believe the many colours and bolder brush strokes I use are allowing me to enter the realm of neo-expressionism that is semi-abstract in form. My intention to express the energy I feel from nature or other intangible things is also a small message I throw at my viewer. It is the perhaps cliche message of realising the beauty of nature and holding it precious. The semi-abstract artworks that express personal stories of people who feel pain, sadness, joy, and happiness in nature, are represented using the unique sense of colour of me.

5,

Most of my artwork is based on photographs. Photographs are an essential source of inspiration for me and are my primary stage of completed works. In the second stage, I create new paintings, which are my ultimate results. The first reason I work based on photographs is because it expresses objects, scenery, and everything else in the closest way to how people view them. My work gains significance when my photographs are reinterpreted through abstract painting.

First, my ideas are reinterpreted from digital art to paintings, and second, photographs that mainly include natural phenomena are reinterpreted abstractly through the paintings, which reflect my subjective viewpoint on the natural phenomena.

My subjective viewpoint refers to the beauty, value, awe-inspiring side, and vitality of parts of nature that are always around us in contemporary society, but hard to realize. Moving into the twenty-first century after the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, people are changing, but nature does not. I aim to express this and other things, and my viewpoint reflects the noble mindset regarding nature. Taking a photograph in the first stage is to capture the object that changes when it is interpreted through painting, and the painting interpretation in the second stage that has an expressionist characteristic using many different colours to express the inspiration I get from natural phenomena in a way that is most appropriate for a painting. Many colours and rough brushstrokes are used to express a dynamic image that is not boring and seems to tell a story. Acrylic or oil bars are used for the paint, as they are the most convenient. Thus, my work can be seen as an integration of two artworks. A work that is used for composition, and painting that is the same yet expressed differently. These can be interpreted differently, but they are like Siamese twins, and closely affect one another. Photography is especially appropriate for me to capture images of my theme of nature. Capturing the moment makes it easier for me to create my secondary work. Working with a theme of nature makes me sad about the many natural environments related issues these days. In this respect, I hope my artworks will encourage more interest in nature in many more people.

4,

Nature always surrounds us but is full of intangible movement.I have always been in awe of and touched by this aspect of nature, so my artwork has mainly expressed intangible or hard to see movements. For example, many of my artworks until now have been series such as wind, the vivid movement of the coming spring, leaves falling in the fall, or spider webs after the rain, and I have used many different colours to create abstract expressionist paintings. The reason for this is because my main aim is to express modern day society where we are so busy we can easily miss nature in a fragmentary way through paintings with many colours that give a strong impression and do not seem to have an obvious theme at first glance. The audience of people who live in a busy society can create many different stories when they look at my paintings with a relaxed mind. The intention is to realize how precious nature is and ask questions about how we live amid nature, through this conversation. In the future, I plan to focus on how my paintings can communicate with the audience in a more flexible way. I will also focus on developing my abstract expressionist techniques. Therefore, I will make efforts to create unique ideas based on nature, and develop my painting skills, and use unique brush marks to express the sounds and movements of nature. I believe this will lead to a new painting style. This will help me reach a level of painting that leaves a strong impression and takes after natural themes, which is my main goal and will create a foundation for me to present a new paradigm of moving, dynamic painting.

I am mainly interested in fine art painting because I respect the energy I can express through painting. Needless to say, there are many other methods of artwork, but I prefer painting, which allows me to freely express many different colours on the canvas. It is difficult to express the movement of nature on a two-dimensional canvas using a brush, but I believe that it can be more three-dimensional than anything else and send the strongest message to another person. The theme I selected to look back to nature while living in a busy, modern society, is based on my intention to self-reflect on the awareness of nature of people today and myself, and go one step closer to nature, and express its beauty in a fantastic and strong way. This is my main area of interest.

2,

Expressionism primarily influences my work. I make an effort to create a non-reality that is more realistic than the daily life we experience. I think this aspect of art is very interesting. When I express my feelings or energy through painting, I feel like I get more direction in my life than when I am painting something realistic or doing pop art. I hope that other people will feel consoled or get a clearer idea of their goals through my work, too.  I have mainly used a lot of canvas and painted in a way where you can feel the brush on the canvas. I am particularly interested in colour and have always tried to use many different colours and a combination of fantastic colours in my work. Colour gives people energy, and I get a clear and robust energy from tone, too. I am mostly interested in nature and scenery rather than the streets or the city and have tried to express the beauty of nature, from things that are not obvious to the eye, like the wind, to spider webs or other parts of nature. Most of my works have been about nature and I will continue to do a lot of pieces with nature as the theme. My primary goal is to relay the message that people can be peaceful in nature. We come from nature and have a tendency to return to nature, so I hope to communicate the value of things that do not catch the eye to people with my unique art style. Therefore, the primary aim of my work is to send a loud but peaceful message through nature.

1,

In painting, there is the opportunity to catch and describe the meaning within people’s ideology. My initial steps in my approach to painting were to purposely not limit myself to colour or subject matter.   In some ways, my style of painting is like drawing.  I often draw from photos and the expression of the subject comes through the application of acrylic paint.  The medium’s ability to dry immediately suits me, as I can work with many colours at once.

Artists such as Kandinsky and Jackson Pollock have been very influential on how I have developed my colour and composition.  I think of my abstractions like “Pathways of Wind.”
